When dance become Sacred

            when deep longing of the soul

                  reaches for the Creator of its song…

             when the agony in the pain

                  connects to Comforter and Balm…

            when the cells of each limb

                  celebrate their Source and true Home…

            when ALL of who I am

                  proclaims that  we are not alone…

            when authenticity and faith

                  dance the stuff that makes a prayer…

            when gratitude extends her arms

                  to God, with utmost care…

            when focus, taken off self,

                  ascribes glory due God’s name

            …and thereby links the soil of earth

                  To Heaven’s vast terrain…

            when body, mind and spirit

                  gain permission to abound…

            enlivened faith, through movement,

                  treads…

                       upon God’s Sacred  ground.
