2002 - GOD's G.A.G.E. TEAM

June 28, 2002 – GOD's G.A.G.E. Team - Jennifer Lynn Joy

Late Friday Evening, June 28th, 2002, I crawled under my “Going to visit PAPA GOD blanket” and spent time in HIS presence for a few hours.

Among the things HE imparted to me were the words: GOD’s G.A.G.E. Team. Yes, I did have to ask HIM what it meant. HE said, "G.A.G.E. – Gideon’s Army Group Email regarding the Jubilee Prayer for America."  I had not looked at sending out a weekly email from the same perspective.

Over the past 48 hours I studied the record of Gideon’s Army in Judges and did a little bit of research. The following is my portion of understanding. HE may give you something to share with GOD’s GAGE Team.

1. Definition of GAGE by Webster’s Dictionary: 1) something deposited or pledged to insure that an obligation will be fulfilled, security. 2) a pledge to appear and fight, as a glove thrown down by a Knight challenging another.

The heart and passion of the Jubilee Prayer for America is for GOD's protection, the peace of GOD, and HIS unity over our Country. That we would be a nation that places its trust in the Almighty GOD! I believe our prayers, intercession, fasting, faith, worship, praise, standing for Truth, and Trust in GOD are the weapons of warfare in the battle for protection of America, our homeland.

From the book of Judges regarding Gideon’s Army:

Who was Gideon? Judges 6:14-15, "Then the LORD turned to him and said, 'Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?' So he said to HIM, 'O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh and I am the least in my father’s house?'"

It is true that my heart has been concerned over the continuing decay of the moral condition of America for many years. Perhaps the Midianites in America might be viewed as the terrorists and perhaps more realistically anyone that purposes in their heart to oppose the MOST HIGH GOD, HIS SON JESUS CHRIST and HIS HOLY SPIRIT.

It is true that I see myself as the least likely, least qualified, and the weakest in my FATHER’s house. And like Gideon, I set before the LORD more than one fleece, before fully entering this venture called Jubilee Prayer for America (America's Prayer Shield).

Gideon was given 300 Valiant Warriors and there are just over 300 on this Group Email List, trusting that 300 are chosen by the Holy Spirit to participate in the weekly prayers for America. (Three years later in 2005, there are still just over 300 intercessors.)

Gideon’s warriors were chosen by a simple act of drinking water from a brook with their eyes open and those in GOD’s GAGE Team have their eyes open on behalf of the things of GOD.

Gideon’s warriors were flexible, committed, reliable, positioned, equipped, prepared and willing to serve Gideon and those in GOD’s GAGE Team are flexible, committed, reliable, positioned, equipped, prepared and willing to pray for America.

Gideon’s Army was victorious and we anticipate victory as we pray for one State in America each week this year.

Gideon’s Army was diverse in talents and gifts yet in one accord when the battle was waged and GOD’s GAGE Team is diverse in talents and gifts yet in one accord to the cause of fighting for TRUTH – that would be KING JESUS to rule and reign in America.

My prayer is that you will be encouraged for HIS GLORY! That you will fully understand the portion that you give as you intercede and pray weekly for America. That you will pray with fervency and passion as your life depended on it…it might. That the HOLY SPIRIT will reveal even more of the FATHER’s will and ways to you! GLORY TO THE LORD GOD!
