05.21.06PENTECOST SEASONAs most of you know, God speaks to me through my life experiences. Among the most common languages that HE uses are colors, symbols, types, music, patterns and sounds. This last week two seemingly insignificant experiences happened. This morning in my pondering time before the LORD, the following was revealed. I trust you will seek HIM as to the impartation and implication in your own life. 1. NEVER IS NO LONGER NEVER! On Friday afternoon, at the unction of the Holy Spirit I went to the local thrift store. There are many, thrift stores in the Portland Metro Area – this was the place HE specifically directed me to. Yes, I did stop and ask where HE wanted me to go. Although, scarves at this particular thrift store have become outrageously priced in the last few years, I went and looked hoping for some half-price price tags. My budget was a specific amount and the scarves that were in my shopping cart were certainly over that amount, yet the LORD was clear that I was to take them all. Faith... When I arrived at the check out, the clerk asked, “What do you do with all these scarves?” I answered in the same way I have answered many times over the years. “Oh, I am part of a non-profit organization and we make gifts to send to others.” She responded, “Oh, we should be giving these to you.” This was a first! I was completely surprised by her response and immediately wondered if she was an angel. Then she marked down all the scarves and the total was the exact amount of my budget. Since this particular thrift store NEVER marks down at check out. Then I was convinced she was an angel. As I walked to the car the LORD said, “NEVER IS NO LONGER NEVER!” What I understand is that the places in our lives where the word “NEVER” has been posted has just been radically changed. I have been seeking the Holy Spirit as to all those places in my own life, in ministry, in my family, in employment that the word “NEVER” has been posted and now I am completely with a cup overflowing in the fullest faith anticipating HIS RADICAL MOVEMENT AND CHANGE! 2. GOD IS MEETING US AND CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES FOR HIS GLORY! This is not a new concept yet I find it to be relevant in this immediate season and the next season. Experientially, I also find the 50 days of Pentecost to be very radical and life changing. This last week I was at a local shopping center and while shopping over the intercom it was announced that all sale items were 50% off sale price for the next 15 minutes. This was also a first. I asked the clerk in the fabric section if it included the remnants, she said, “No, but there are some other items on sale on the next aisle.” So, I went to look and of course there were many treasures for Glory Rings. My budget was of course a specific amount and when I went through the check out, the clerk gave me 50% on the sale items as well as the remnants…so that the amount was the exact amount of the budget. I was giggling on the way to the car and the LORD said, “THIS WILL BE THE NORM INSTEAD OF THE EXCEPTION, I WILL BE MEETING MY PEOPLE AND CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES FOR MY GLORY!” It wasn’t about me being at the right place at the right time, it was about the sovereignty of GOD moving in the details of our lives for HIS GLORY in this season.
