The Prelude to HIS Harvest Jennifer Lynn Joy © 2004June 2, 2003 – A phone call from David Brooks, Mohave Valley, Arizona informing me that Stephen Watkins from Flagstaff, Arizona had made a Rod for me. As I had yet to meet either of these brothers in the LORD, it was evident GOD had a plan. September 26, 2003 – The Rod made of Manzanita wood arrived. Sanded to a soft-touch finish the red and white wood shaped like a strand of wavy hair is five feet in length. This kind of a worship instrument does not arrive unless GOD is serious about something. The following week the Holy Spirit instructed me to fill the 12 major scars in the wood with jewels, press 24K gold leaf into the cracks and anoint with HIS Glory Coming Down Anointing Oil. "Every place upon which the sole of your foot shall tread, that I have given to you, as I promised....." Joshua 1:3 October 8, 2003 – The Holy Spirit directed my path this morning to the Sandy River in Troutdale, Oregon with the Rod, New Port Wine, The Antidote Anointing Oil and Salt from Jerusalem. The Lewis and Clark State Park is near the opening where the Sandy River flows into the Columbia River. The boat docking area and beach were empty – most certainly held in reserve by angels. The wine, oil and salt were poured into the River. The Rod struck the River one-time sounding like the loud slap of a beaver’s tail sending a warning throughout the land! The call for repentance across America. The call for reverence for the MOST HIGH GOD across America. Then the Holy Spirit directed me to pray The River of Life Scriptures over the River, Oregon and America (Revelation 22). Moses was 80 and Aaron 83 when they were sent to Egypt on a mission from GOD. In Exodus 7:3 the Scripture reads, “And I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply MY signs and MY wonders in the land of Egypt.” The elders of Israel did not ask for signs, but when they saw them, they believed. Pharaoh asked for a sign, but when he saw it he did not believe. Exodus, chapter seven speaks about Aaron’s rod and the First Plague – when the waters of the Nile River turn to blood. As I am standing on the sandy shores the Holy Spirit ministers to me and suddenly I realize that they are only plagues to the Egyptians. They are miracles to the Hebrews. It is about perspective and about who is your GOD. Then HE reminded me that the first and last plagues or miracles (depending on if you worship Egyptian idols or YAHWEH!) were about blood. JESUS is the first and the last and HIS atonement, HIS blood is the beginning and the end, HE is Genesis and Revelation, HE is the Alpha and the Omega, HE is the River of Life and HE is the Passover Lamb. Even then, GOD was revealing HIS plan for the atonement of JESUS! Trembling in HIS presence as I often do, I left the riverbank and drove home. On the way as is HIS way with me HE revealed the rest of the assignment. There would be a total of ten strikes at HIS designated times before December 31 because Exodus 12:31 is when they crossed over. October 15, 2003 – Pocketed in the day somewhere is the short walk to the little creek near the apartment complex where I currently reside. The creek bank is hidden with shrubs still holding onto their leaves on this chilly fall afternoon. Striking the water with the Rod once again, I prophesy and pray as the Holy Spirit leads. Exodus 8, the second plague is frogs – symbolic of demons, unclean spirits (Revelation 16:13, Psalm 78:45). The Egyptian goddess, Heqt depicted as a frog, according to their pagan beliefs helped women in childbirth. Has America invited a greater curse of miscarriages, ovarian tube pregnancies, stillborn, and other traumatic birthing situations due to our signature on the approval of abortion? If the frogs are symbolic of demons and unclean spirits to the Egyptians, then what is the miracle to the people of GOD? HIS HOLY SPIRIT because the opposite of unclean is holy. Do our dwelling places represent the Holy or the unholy? The miracle, the promise to believers is the fullness of HIS HOLY SPIRIT in our daily lives. October 22, 2004 – Before leaving to minister at HGR-Branch Two-Hillsboro, I slipped into my raincoat and headed for the creek with Rod in hand for the third strike, prayer and prophetic act. After studying this text for weeks, it is evident that each plague is a strike against some Egyptian idol or god. The Holy Spirit clearly speaks to me, “Strike Three, You’re Out!” Giggling, I now know a new perspective of the familiar phrase, "Strike Three, You're Out!" is coming forth. Well now, the magicians are out of it since they are unable to reproduce the demonstrated power of an ALMIGHTY GOD and the Hebrew people are exempt from sharing the consequences of any more plagues with their Egyptian neighbors. The land of Goshen is 900 square miles and from this time forward it was protected land. That is a miracle! Exodus 8 – The Third Plague – Lice are symbolic of affliction, condemnation and shame. Scripture references for lice and flies are the same: Isaiah 51:8, Ecclesiastes 10:1, Isaiah 7:18-19 and Acts 12:23. It is the third plague and when Pharaoh’s magicians cannot reproduce it, finally they acknowledge, “This is the finger of GOD.” When GOD’s finger comes into the picture things radically change! In John 8:6, "JESUS wrote with his finger" … and the condemned woman was forgiven and set free. The plague for those without JESUS is affliction, condemnation and shame. The promise for those in JESUS is complete emotional healing, total forgiveness and the absence of condemnation and shame. October 30, 2003 - Each trip to the little muddy creek brings more warfare but walking with my KING, I have learned the warfare will not end until the battle is finished. Strike 4! Today, Ezekiel 44:4 was proclaimed to the land! The 4th plague – flies. A fly is a creature of the earth that is damaging, destructive and without a backbone. As a high school student I was required to read, Lord of the Flies, a completely disgusting book rated as a literary genius. Obviously GOD did not rate the book. When my daughter was in high school, that same book was on her English book list. Appalled, I went to the teacher and demanded a different book because I had since learned that Beelzebub was symbolic of the Philistine god of flies. The Hebrews referred to the Philistine god of flies, as Satan and I didn’t need my daughter reading a novel about a false idol/satan for high school English class. The plague for those in bondage is false gods, false idols, spirits of deception and lies. The promise for those of GOD’s family is the one TRUE GOD and TRUTH manifested in the person of JESUS CHRIST. The Armor of the LORD including the belt of TRUTH is also promised to believers (Ephesians 6:10-20). November 3, 2003 – There is something to be said for being half way through the course…GLORY TO GOD! The creek is filling up due to the winter rains and the water is churning, filled with debris. Strike 5! The sound of the rod breaking the water’s surface echoed throughout the air, the Presence of GOD overtakes me, and the words of HIS spirit are released to heaven and earth. Exodus 9 - The 5th Plague is diseased livestock, perhaps an early form of “mad cow” symbolic of calamity and sinfulness (Psalm 103:3, Ecclesiastes 6:2, Exodus 15:26, Exodus 7:15, Deuteronomy 28:60). Remembering that livestock, in particular cows were sacred to the Egyptians. They looked at this as a direct attack on Hathor, the mother goddess of Egypt who was often portrayed in the form of a cow. Those whose names are not written in the Lamb’s Book of Life may expect a life of calamity and the consequences of sin. Those whose names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life may expect a life full of the blessings, favor, forgiveness, grace and mercy of the MOST HIGH GOD! November 12, 2003 – The LORD required early in the assignment that each day HE sent me to the waters I was to fast. Before departing for HGR-Branch Two -Hillsboro, Oregon to minister, once again I slipped on my raincoat and headed for the creek. Strike 6!There is a holy fire rising up within me as the Spirit of GOD continues to reveal more about the demonic/satanic forces afflicting so many people on the earth. Exodus 9 – The 6th Plague is the affliction of boils symbolic of infirmity, infection and disease. The word boils also includes tumors, blisters and running sores. The Egyptians, the magicians and even Pharaoh had no hope, no healing and no help. As Christians, we have the promise that “by HIS stripes we are healed” through the resurrection power of JESUS CHRIST! November 21, 2003 – Strike 7! GOD is completing HIS purposes on the earth! Once again the rod in the “Name of JESUS” slams the churning, muddy creek waters as I am walking in obedience to the Holy Spirit. Exodus 9 – The 7th plague – Hail is symbolic of divine judgment. Remember this is Egypt, a dry desert rarely experiencing rain. This hailstorm must have been quite a shock. The Egyptians viewed the hail as a direct blow to two of their idols – Isis the goddess of life and Seth the protector of crops. Leaving Egypt is about leaving idol worship, leaving our sin and turning to JESUS! In verse 27-28 Pharaoh acknowledges his sin but refuses to repent. It does not go well for him because then the locusts come and devour anything that is left by the hail storm. It is imperative to immediately repent of any sin, because when we refuse we open the door for more locusts to come and devour and devastate our lives. The Scripture references are Revelation 8:7, Psalm 78:47, Exodus 9:18, Psalm 18:13, Revelation 11:19, Revelation 16:21, Isaiah 32:19, Isaiah 28:2 and Psalm 105:32. The divine judgment of the LORD GOD is a fearful thing. Yet, we have the promise and confidence of our King, Lord, Savior and Master JESUS CHRIST who will judge the living and the dead at HIS appearing and HIS Kingdom (II Timothy 4:1-8). We can trust HIM to judge all circumstances of our lives righteously. November 27, 2003 – As I am standing on the soggy creek bank with mud squishing up around my boots, I am pondering the 8th strike of the waters. The number eight symbolizes new beginnings and I pondered what does it mean to fully experience a new beginning. Often we hear people talk about a new beginning, but what is a new beginning? What does it really look like? For me the best description is the way JESUS entered the grave and the way HE departed. Now that was a new beginning. Death to life! As Christians we are promised new life in HIM! Exodus 10 – The 8th plague – Locusts are symbolic of destructive enemy powers. Scripture reference: Revelation 9:3-4. Locusts destroy everything the hailstorm overlooked. If one tactic of Satan does not work, trust me he will try another. Disciples of JESUS CHRIST are promised by GOD to be transferred from the powers of darkness into the Kingdom of the SON of GOD (Colossians 1:9-18). December 5, 2003 – There is a joy, delight
and sense of victory as I approach the overflowing banks of the creek
today. GOD’s spirit is hovering above the waters. HIS presence is more
than evident. “It is time!” continues to reverberate in my spirit.
For three years I have lived in a small cave-like apartment where no
sunlight reached any of the three windows. Tomorrow I am moving into a
new apartment with six windows that all receive sunlight. I am entering
a season of double portion LIGHT! Glory to GOD! Exodus 10 – The 9th Plague – Darkness – a darkness that could be seen and felt, a thick darkness in the land for three days. The sun was the most sacred religious symbol in Egypt – a direct attack on Pharaoh since he was considered the incarnation of Amon-Ra the sun god. JESUS was in the grave for three days, and then HE rose again releasing the fullness of HIS light to us. Those without JESUS live in perpetual darkness. As believers we are promised to live in HIS light because HE is the light of the world (John 1:1-5). December 12, 2003 – The Holy Spirit directed me to the Sandy River to complete the season’s assignment. Nineteen years ago the LORD directed me to one of HIS Rivers to pray and pour out oil, as I did not know anything about anointing oil in those days, I just used olive oil. Since then from the Pacific to the Atlantic, from the Arkansas River to the Missouri River, from the Mississippi River to the Connecticut River and all across America I have poured HIS new oil into HIS Rivers praying and prophesying over America. Unexpectedly, the boat dock area was occupied so I ventured upstream for an opening along the river’s edge. Slightly south of the Stark Street Bridge I climbed down the bank to the river’s sandy shore. Grateful for the rod to assist my steps on the wet, slippery slope as I carried a large plastic container filled with “HIS Glory Coming Down Anointing Oil.” After pouring out the oil and striking the waters three times, I stayed and prayed/prophesied for about thirty minutes then retraced my steps up the slope. Exodus 11 – 10th Plague – Death of the Firstborn. The Scripture references are Exodus 12:12-13 and Hebrews 11:28-29. This plague was a clear statement that the GOD of the Hebrews was greater than Osiris – the Egyptian giver of life. And the last plague has the same element as the first. Blood – only this time the blood must be applied to the doorposts as an act, action and application of faith. We must appropriate the blood of JESUS through faith in HIM as our LORD and SAVIOR to experience eternal life. There is nothing in our lives that does not need the application of the blood of JESUS. Following this plague, the Hebrews, as commanded by GOD, dedicated their firstborn and their first fruits to HIM. December 25, 2003 – The Holy Spirit clearly spoke “Triumph!” to me on the day that much of the world celebrates the birth of JESUS! Exodus 15:20-21, “Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron (and Moses) took the timbrel in her hand and all the women went out after her with timbrels and with dances. And Miriam answered them: “Sing to the LORD, For HE has triumphed gloriously! The horse and its rider HE has thrown into the sea!” Gratefully, I realize a three-year season is coming to a close and this has been my final assignment. December 31, 2003 –Passover is symbolic of deliverance from our enemies. Today, the Holy Spirit ministered to me in an extraordinary way please read: Blessings or Curses? Exodus 11 – The establishment of Passover that is symbolic of JESUS CHRIST as the pure and holy LAMB of GOD. Passover usually occurs in March or April of our calendar and in the month of Nisan in the Hebrew calendar. This year, 2004, Passover is on April 6. Passover was a judgment against all the gods of Egypt. It was the final statement of GOD’s power. There is none greater than HE! Just as the Hebrews passed through the Red Sea to partake of the baptism of Moses, we must participate in the baptism of JESUS CHRIST. It is the only Biblical method given for transferring your trust and commitment from one kingdom to another. John the Baptist baptized JESUS to fulfill the Scriptures and to provide us with an example of how we are to be immersed. Ezekiel 1, 5, 10 and Jeremiah 20:11-13 were read over America today. Exodus 12 – Crossing over – It is estimated that 1-3 million people crossed through the Red Sea and forty years later only two Joshua and Caleb entered the promised land because of their faith, obedience and decision to walk in obedience to the MOST HIGH GOD! As you cross over you may expect the following promises to be evident daily in your life: 1) HIS Light, 2) HIS Love, 3) HIS Protection, 4) The Fullness of Health in HIM, 5) The Fullness of Provision and Prosperity in HIM, 6) The Fullness of Productive and Fruitful Lives in HIM, 7) The Fullness of Life and Eternal Life, 8) The Fullness of HIS Holy Spirit, 9) The Fullness of HIS Forgiveness and10) HIS Divine Intervention and Judgments. "FATHER, in the name of JESUS, I pray that
those called by YOUR NAME will step into the fullness of the promises
that YOU declared for them in the land of Egypt. I ask your Holy Spirit
to reveal to each of us any graven images, idols of worship, and
Egyptian lifestyle that we may still have and bring us to a place of
conviction, repentance and forgiveness. I pray that the spirit
of unbelief and ungratefulness will be removed from us as we press into
YOUR Presence, YOUR Power, YOUR Life, YOUR Truth, YOUR Righteousness and
YOUR Love! Amen!"
