A Year of HIS Jubilee ~ HE Healed Me! Jennifer Lynn Joy © 2001January 1997 – The doctor recommended immediate surgery. Leaving the doctor’s office I was pondering things before the LORD as there were not any funds to pay the $3000 for the cost of the surgery that the insurance would not cover nor was I positioned to take six weeks off work. The surgery would require someone to drive for six weeks and help me at home. As I was living in a new city and truly knew no one that could help me. I was exceedingly discouraged and depressed. I went to bed and my closing prayer was simply, “GOD help me!” Without fanfare, a healing team, anointing oil, the elders, any faith or hope – GOD in HIS mercy came. Immediately, the 8-12 pound mass of scar tissue disappeared. According to the latest doctor’s report, it was the size of a large grapefruit or small melon. Immediately the cysts disappeared. The hemorrhaging immediately discontinued. The pain stopped. The exploding cysts never returned. The migraines never occurred again! JESUS CAME! A few months later I returned to my gynecologist for the annual check up and C125 test. While examining me he said, “I thought I was your doctor.” I answered, “You are. I haven’t seen anyone since I last saw you.” He asked, “Who did the surgery?” I laughed, “Oh that! GOD came last February and in a moment in time it all changed.” He said, “Best surgery I have ever seen. I never argue with the BIG GUY!” He was very happy for me. Then he said, “Well, it seems we can discontinue the C125 tests, I don’t imagine you are going to be having any cancer.” Later the lab reports indicated that both the C125 and hormone levels were normal (and they have continued to be, since then, without any hormone replacement drugs.) Seventeen years of monthly suffering ended in one moment in time. The Joy of Womanhood was taking on a completely new meaning. GOD is faithful! I knew that someone, somewhere, sometime, had prayed for me and GOD had answered their prayers. GLORY TO HIM ALONE! January 2001 – The LORD GOD proclaimed that my 50th year would be A YEAR of JUBILEE! as HE had many surprises in HIS storehouse for me. February 10, 2001 – While attending a healing meeting in Albany, Oregon and during a time of prayer I could see a second wave of the Holy Spirit coming across the gathering from the right to the left. The one ministering announced a few seconds later that a second wave of the Holy Spirit was coming across the room and to lift your hands to the LORD if you wanted to be healed. So I lifted my hands and said, “Surprise me!” (That is because there were so many choices). Immediately my lungs nearly burst and I COULD BREATHE! REALLY BREATHE! The Holy Spirit gave the minister a word of knowledge about a woman that GOD was doing something in her lungs. He then invited the woman to come forward for prayer. He continued to speak about a fire, a burning in the woman’s lungs. When I went forward for prayer, he asked, “And how did you get fire in your lungs?” It was so hilarious. I briefly explained the following, then he and his wife prayed for me. February 14, 1988 my 12-year old son had poured Clorox bleach (one and half gallons) into a shower stall that had been cleaned with comet cleanser - forming a toxic poisonous gas. Some of you might remember acid wash jeans the latest fad. Jeremy was very sure that he could acid wash his blue jeans without waiting for my help. As I had cared for my grandmother for a number of years, frequently the children waited as I cared for her. My grandmother was taking medication that caused hallucinations and she had just phoned needing help. As I was running out the door saying to Jeremy, “Wait! Wait until I get back! I will be gone about an hour. Read my lips! WAIT!” Doing exactly what I would have done at his age, he decided that it couldn’t be that difficult and that I would appreciate him doing it himself, saving me the time. When I returned home, the house smelled loudly like Clorox. I went to the upstairs bathroom, which did not have a window that could open, and turned the cold water on in the shower stall. The poisonous gas already had an hour to form and as soon as the shower door opened, I was history. When I inhaled the toxic gas, the lining was burned out of my lungs. Within a few minutes I was passed out on the bed because I told my husband that I did not feel well. Even though I died three times that night, as my husband said that I turned perfectly gray and completely stopped breathing. For reasons I can’t explain, he did not take me to the hospital. Of course, by the time I made an appointment and arrived to see the doctor the next day, the damage was irreversible and the prognosis was three to four years for the lining to grow back. The challenge was that it was impossible to intake the oxygen that I needed for the fullness of life. Immediately hiking, aerobics, lifting weights, bike riding and running were alleviated from my life. After four years my lungs were x-rayed and the lining had returned but I was only assimilating 50% of the oxygen that I was breathing. Oxygen deprivation creates a number of physical problems, but for me the greatest hindrance was the physically induced depression from lack of oxygen. It had been thirteen years of not being able to take a deep breath. For thirteen years (including my first six years in ministry) there was the challenge of daily overcoming depression, struggling each day to move forward, to get out of bed and to just make my physical body move. When the song was released, “This Is The Air I Breathe!” it became my song in ways that most will never truly understand. Now my lungs take in 80% of the oxygen I breathe and life has changed radically. The simple act of walking up stairs without being winded or walking the long corridors of airports without feeling like I might pass out is a miracle. Just being able to worship JESUS with flags and Glory Rings and my lungs not screaming at me in pain is also a miracle. It was a miracle that only GOD could perform! HE IS THE AIR I BREATHE! February 17, 2001 – The LORD directed my steps to Albany, Oregon again for another healing meeting. There was a word of knowledge released about a woman in two car wrecks in the same week and there had been pain in the right hip since the wrecks. That would be me! On June 13 and 15, 1994 the vehicle I was driving was rear-ended without warning. Both times I was stopped at traffic lights. The damage to my physical dwelling place was internal - no broken bones or lacerations. So from outward appearances I looked just fine. From my neck to my waist my spine was jerked forward two inches. The right hip was jammed, twisted and turned with 15-19 places of ruptured connective tissue. The curve in my neck was reversed. My right arm was useless for four months and impaired for a year. Due to the misdiagnosis and the wrong treatment the connective tissue damage was permanent - no chance for healing in the medical field. Diagnosis: walk with a limp for the rest of my life, four vertebra damaged, always experiencing pain, will trip and fall a lot because of connective tissue damage (connective tissue is like the nervous system – one place of damage affects the whole system). Unfortunately, I did not qualify as one who handles pain well. To sit anywhere meant sitting on at least thirty-eight pieces of pea gravel (scar tissue). The burning fire pain in my leg had continued for almost seven years and caused me to look at metal chairs much differently. The choice of cushioned chairs became essential for me to be able to sit more than ten minutes. Because the car wrecks were in forty-eight hours of each other, there was no settlement as each insurance company blamed the other wreck for the damages. The medical expenses were not even fully covered. JESUS came and gently took the scar tissue out of my hip, which was the cause of the majority of the pain and walking with a limp. Because I had made a promise to GOD at the beginning of 1994 that I would worship HIM no matter what, so far it had meant always worshipping HIM in physical pain. Of course, when I made the commitment, it was before most of the pain had begun and it was when I had no idea of where HE was taking me or that worshipping HIM might really cost something. March 22, 2001 - At another healing meeting in Albany, Oregon, a prophetic word was released regarding Elijah, Elisha, Jezebel and King Jehu, which confirmed many things in my spirit. The minister had a word of knowledge about knees and witchcraft. I went forward for prayer as in our family we have a genetic weakness (hyperextension) regarding knees. I had not been able to kneel or crawl around on my knees for thirty years. Our family also has a history of some witchcraft in past generations. After they prayed, my knees burned red - similar to an intense sunburn for three days, and then the pain left. The kneecaps were still very weak and wobbly but the pain was gone and I was delighted for that miracle! April 15, 2001 – Resurrection Sunday – Notes from my Journal, Jesus came into my room early in the morning…it shook me…although I have seen HIM many times at PAPA GOD’s throne…I can’t remember HIM coming to see me for years….since 1959 in the Oak Grove. HE did not speak….just held my face in HIS hands and looked into me. HE loves me so much. Third Day Resurrection Sunday - (Song of Songs 2:9, John 14:20, Song of Solomon 2:8-9, Matthew 5:8, John 10:14-15). It was over a month later before I realized that when JESUS came, HE touched my neck and throat area and healed my thyroid. While in high school in the 1960s, my thyroid had been petrified from dental x-rays and I had taken thyroid medication for seventeen years. Not anymore. Yes, the medical tests have revealed that my thyroid levels are normal. People always ask me about my energy level and I just laugh…because any of you that know me know that HE has more than equipped me with huge amounts of energy! YES! GOD! July 8, 2001 - Jubilee Church in Camarillo, California. Notes from my Journal, The Scripture on the Bulletin was Psalm 119:105. Psalm 119 is one of my life Scriptures. There is a shift. GOD is doing a new thing. Promise of GOD transforms us. HIS Presence provides the energy and atmosphere to bring forth HIS promise! Psalm 18 for me (visitation). The pastor had a word of knowledge for a right shoulder injury, a woman spraining her right shoulder. The doctors thought it was rotator cusp; it has been misdiagnosed. Then he held his shoulder in the exact place mine has hurt for three and a half years, by the collarbone. Following the close of the service, I went forward for prayer. Steve, the pastor prayed for me, “You will have visitations from the LORD for 14 days beginning 7-08-0. HEAR HIS VOICE! HE will be releasing things to you and from you. You dance just as David did before GOD. Some will ridicule you. Some will accept you. God will rebuke the assault of Michal’s against you. The LORD is fitting you with HIS Righteous Breastplate. You will have many visitations from the LORD.” I noticed that his watch had the word ‘tide’ on it and that he began praying for me at 1:24. January 4, 1998 - While at work in the Ochoco National Forest, I slipped on an icy covered deck. I fell and doubled sprained my right shoulder and injured my collarbone. When I fell, I hit a closed door. Someone opened the door from the other side, and I crashed and hit the cement floor. So my shoulder was jammed twice into my already damaged spine from the car wrecks in 1994. This was not a good day! The day after that I went to the doctor and then the day following the doctor appointment I was terminated from my job for being unwilling to alter personnel records even though a different reason was given at the discharge meeting. The Workers Comp claim was not submitted by my employer, which required the delay of an appeal. I was granted eight weeks of chiropractic care as the orthopedist could find nothing requiring care. Three and half years of consistent, burning pain in my right shoulder area, especially near my collar bone, led me to believe something different. Once again JESUS came when no one else could or would! And the year of JUBILEE continues! September 7, 2001 - While at a dear friend’s house, she asked me if she could pray for my knees. Although the pain had been gone since February, my knees still sounded like rocks in a glass jar. She asked the LORD for two pearly white kneecaps and then she waited until she saw them in the spirit realm, reached heavenward, took a hold of them and then put them on my knees. GOD was completing the healing HE had begun in February. HE IS LIKE THAT! FAITHFUL AND TRUE! The Year of JUBILEE held many other miracles and surprises according to HIS GLORY and RICHES in CHRIST JESUS! ~~~~~ As we began 2002 and the LORD released us to hold HIS Glory Reigns Gatherings weekly, the following is one of the messages the Holy Spirit gave me to share. I am trusting HE will continue to bless, encourage and heal you! AND HE HEALED THEM! “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the Kingdom, and healing all kinds of diseases among the people. Then HIS fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to HIM all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon possessed, epileptics, and paralytics and HE healed them.” (Matthew 4:23-24) Jesus healed many different people many different ways. The Holy Spirit asked me to share with you some of the different ways that JESUS healed so that we do not get locked into a form or tradition, realizing that it is JESUS who heals. · In Matthew 8, Jesus healed the centurion’s servant through a word and the centurion’s faith. · In Matthew 9, Jesus healed the paralytic through forgiveness and the faith of the paralytic’s friends. · In Matthew 9, Jesus healed the blind men according to their faith. · In Matthew 9, Jesus also healed the woman with the issue of blood…and HE said, “Your faith made you well.” · In Mark 7, Jesus healed a deaf mute by putting his fingers in his ears and speaking “Be opened.” In John 5:19, “And JESUS answered and said to them, most assuredly, I say to you the son can do nothing of HIMSELF, but what HE sees the FATHER do, for whatever HE does, the SON does in like manner.” I believe the reason JESUS moved differently in every healing situation is because HE was seeing what the FATHER was doing and doing it. It is written in Matthew 10:8, Jesus said to HIS disciples, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons, Freely you have received, freely give.” As HIS disciple, is this a description of your life? Are you freely giving what JESUS freely has given to you? There were times when JESUS did not heal. It is recorded in Matthew13: 58, that HE did not do great works in Nazareth because of their unbelief. Is it possible that your unbelief has deterred your healing? I believe that we all experience unbelief at different times in our lives. We need to stop, ask forgiveness for the unbelief, and ask the Holy Spirit to fill us with faith and confidence in the LORD. Another reason that you may not be experiencing healing is because of un-forgiveness in your life. Are you unwilling to forgive others? The Bible records this principle is Psalm 32. Un-repented sin may keep you out of position to receive healing. When you ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you the un-forgiveness in your heart, HE will. Trust me! Another reason that you may not be experiencing healing is GOD’s timetable and the workings that HE is bringing forth in your life. In Isaiah 53:5 it is written, “But HE was wounded for our transgression, HE was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace, was upon HIM, And by HIS stripes we are healed.” There are thirty-nine major diseases in the world. JESUS CHRIST received a stripe for each one. Nothing was left out. Acts 14:8-10 says, “And in Lystra, there was sitting a certain man, without strength in his feet, lame from his mother’s womb, who had never walked. This man was listening to Paul as he spoke, who, when he had fixed his gaze upon him, and had seen that he had faith to be made well, said with a loud voice, ‘Stand upright on your feet.’ And he leaped up and began to walk.” “Who Himself bore our sins in HIS own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness-by whose stripes you were healed.” (I Peter 2:24) In Romans 8, Paul writes about JESUS quickening our mortal bodies. ONLY JESUS can quicken (vitalize, make alive, give life) our mortal bodies! Since 2001 each evening, I stop and take communion with my KING JESUS and ask HIM to quicken my mortal body! “But if the Spirit of Him who raised JESUS CHRIST from the dead dwells in you, HE who raised Christ JESUS from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through HIS SPIRIT who indwells you.” (Romans 8:11) In closing, just two questions remain ~ Has your KING JESUS quickened you today?
