The Attributes of God's
Word

The attributes of God’s word are not confined to
time or space, as in the same manner that HE is not confined to time or
space. Although HE created time and space for the parameters of HIS
creation, God lives outside and yet inside of time and space. HIS
creation speaks, expresses, declares, proclaims and exemplifies HIS
characteristics so clearly. The following is a sampling of the
attributes of the spoken and written Word of the LORD GOD!
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to warm
bread over a fire bringing fragrant sustenance and heat to warm the
soul and ignite the spirit.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to a
bubbling fountain issuing forth pure water that refreshes, cleanses
and purifies the soul and spirit of humankind.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to the
hammer building and reconstructing the broken and shattered being.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to gold
and silver refined in the refiner’s fire bringing forth endless
delight and a sure truth.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to thick
golden syrupy honey that is sweet to the taste and satisfying to the
spirit.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to lamps
exposing the darkness and releasing the light of His purity,
holiness and righteousness upon humankind.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to the
apple of the eye, the center of vision, the focal point of
perspective bringing clarity to confusion and order to chaos.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to the
sharp two-edged sword separating mixture and pollution of the world
away from those called by HIS name.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to the
milk and the meat of the daily meals nourishing each believer at
their place of maturity.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to the
seed planted in the fertile earth bringing forth a fruitful good
harvest of HIS spirit.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to the
burning passion of the love of Jesus Christ demonstrated on the
cross – His perfect love.
The Word of the LORD GOD is likened to a
mirror reflecting the attributes of the Most High God in whose image
mankind is created.
