God's Signature ~ Don't Leave Home Without It!

Lynn Joy © 2003 One definition of home is the life in which you live. This is what the title of the message refers to, home being the life in which you live. Another expression is being at home is being where your heart is. Only you and GOD really know the position of your heart. My preferred definition is being at home is being in the perfect will of GOD. The word signature has many meanings including a person’s name written by themselves, also a representation of this in a mark, stamp, the act of signing one’s name and an identifying characteristic or mark. The word engrave is defined as to open wide, specifically to loosen, to begin to plough, carve, appear, break-forth, draw out, let go free, loose self, be open, be opening, un-gird, unstop, put off and en-stamp. Therefore, when GOD engraves your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life it is about the fullness of freedom to walk in obedience to JESUS CHRIST. It is about the fullness of Liberty in JESUS CHRIST. It is about the fullness of freedom from sin and walking in your own way. It is about the fullness of HIS grace, mercy, love, peace, joy, favor and resurrection power of JESUS CHRIST! “Behold, I have inscribed (engraved) you on the palms of My hands.” (Isaiah 49:16) It is written in historical journals that there was a custom among the pilgrims traveling to Jerusalem to have representation of the city or temple tattooed on their hands and arms reminding them of the sacred places. They were called the ensigns of Jerusalem. Similarly, it is as though GOD has engraved or tattooed our names in the palms of HIS hands. HE will never forget us! In Haggai 2:23 the Scripture speaks that GOD is going to make a man like a signet ring. A signet ring, a seal used as a signature in marking documents as official, usually had a stamp or letter or some kind of identifying mark that belonged to the King. To seal the letter, hot wax was melted onto the letter and then stamped with the ring so that only the one the letter was addressed to would open the letter. It would be more than obvious if someone had broken the seal. So what I believe the Holy Spirit is speaking is that each of us symbolizes HIS signet ring. We have HIS mark, an identifying mark, upon us, proclaiming that we belong to HIM! HE has sealed us! When I pray as a baby is dedicated to the LORD GOD, I pray for the seal of GOD and the blood of JESUS to be the identifying marks on the child's spirit and soul. Another word that has the same root as Signature and Signet is the word Significant, which means having or expressing meaning, important monuments, too large to be reasonable attributed to chance and a sign, which is something that indicates a fact. Some of the Signs and Signatures of the LORD in the Scriptures are: 1) Genesis 9:12 - The Rainbow Was A Sign Of The Covenant. 2) Exodus 12:13 - The Blood On The Door Post Was A Sign That The Spirit Of Death Would Not Touch The House Or Those Dwelling Inside. 3) John 11:47 - Jesus Performed Many Signs And Wonders. 4) Acts 5:12 - The Apostles Performed Many Signs And Wonders. Often it is said of the Apostolic that they are a sign and a wonder, that their lives are a living demonstration of the sign, the signature, the signet ring, the wonder of the LORD GOD. A sign and wonder this week was stopping by a thrift store and finding forty-four scarves for $7.50, making them seventeen cents each. Of course, the number seventeen is symbolic for victory. As we use hundreds of scarves in the making of Glory Rings for the Nations, States, Tribes, Cities and Territories. This was a miracle! GOD purposes for us to be HIS vessels of signs and wonders. Are you? GOD purposes for us to be HIS signature on earth. Are you? GOD has engraved us into the palms of HIS hands. Do you live as though HE has? We are HIS creation. Do you live as though the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY created you? We are HIS people. Do you live as though the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is YOUR Redeemer, that you are a daughter or a son of the MOST HIGH GOD? We do belong to HIM.
