APOSTOLIC AND PROPHETIC PRAYER JOURNEY TO LOURDES AND THE PYRENEES MOUNTAINS ~ FRANCE

Preparation ~

In the beginning of March 2006, during a prayer meeting, I saw in the spirit a statue of “Mary”in a grotto. Immediately I knew that it was the same statue as in Lourdes-France, that I had seen pictures and a TV program of it a while ago. Lourdes is a very famous Catholic pilgrimage and sanctuary. Nearly 150 years ago, a spirit of deception revealed itself in a grotto to a young French girl. Many apparitions would follow. The spirit called itself  “Immaculate Conception.” Since then, this “virgin Mary" deceived thousands and thousands people of  many nations, visiting this place of idolatrous worship, hoping to receive blessing and healing. (The Holy Biblical Scriptures are very clear that we as Christians are to have no other gods, no idols of worship that our worship is to be to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!) This place became a territory of the “queen of heaven” ( Jeremiah 7:18 ), but God has shaken this place of lie and sin against Jesus.   

For everything there is a time and a season, and the Lord appointed the sixth of June, 2006 as the date for us to be in Lourdes to pray and to blow the Shofar. At the same time, throughout the whole world, Christians would pray and blow the Shofar as an answer to the followers of evil, attacking children of God with their demonic activities on June 6,2006. The International 24-hour of Prayer began on 06-05-06 at 6 PM, and ended on 06-06-06 at 6:00 PM. About twenty-three countries participated.

In the months that followed after God has spoke to us about the Lourdes assignment. Transportation, accommodation, budget and who should go, was laid in the hands of the LORD. We prayed for HIS guidance in all of these matters. As the time went by, it became clear that Ronald (the one who sounds the Shofar from our Prayer Team ), André Bakker (husband of Sylvia Bakker who received the Netherlands Glory Ring) and myself, would undertake this journey. The enemy tried to discourage us many times, but God pulled us through. 

The Holy Spirit said, "I will bend my bow and shoot my arrow, right into the heart. You are my arrow.” He gave us Psalm 7:10-17 as a confirmation.

Lourdes France ~

We left on 06-04-06. Our flight from Schiphol airport ( Amsterdam ) to Pau in the French Pyrenees, went well. During our plane take off ascent, God showed me a vision of heaven. I saw many angels, but only those in front I could see clearly. They were all excited and animated talking to each other. It seemed to me as if they were excited because of us and our trip. The angels living in God presence, knew what was going to happen, at that time we did not.

The flight was about 2 hours. When we arrived at 4PM at Pau airport, we took the bus to Lourdes, distance approximately 28 miles. It was a beautiful day; sunny, warm and a blue sky. The lovely landscape was dominated by the impressive Pyrenees mountain range, a natural border between France and Spain. 

After checking in at the hotel desk, we refreshed ourselves. Having just a quick meal, we went out. But first we sought the LORD for His guidance and protection.

Entering the Lourdes “sanctuaries” we sensed  strong  controlling religious spirits. There were many visitors: majority elderly, but among them young people as well. We saw sick people in wheelchairs, pushed by nurses. In silent prayer, we walked down the avenue, passing a white church, a big building. Opposite the church was a statue of “Mary” on a pedestal. She was crowned with a golden crown. Like a queen of heaven, went through my mind. As we continue our walk, we approached the grotto, the heart of Lourdes where the apparitions took place. We observed visitors who were touching and kissing parts of the grotto in adoration.  Some  knelt down in prayer for a statue of “Mary” in a crevice of the cave.

 It was so painful to see all these religious acts and to be confronted with such an evil stronghold. These people were captives of the enemy, yet they did not begin to realize it. Only the power of the Blood of Christ can deliver them and open their eyes. We walked around for a while, in the meantime looking and praying for an opportunity to blow the Shofar. There were signs with “Silence”, especially near the grotto, and blowing the Shofar would be considered as a disturbance. Also, guards were walking up and down the domain. So, we waited patiently for the directions of the Holy Spirit, knowing that HIS  will had to be done. We turned away from the grotto,  walked up a steep path, hidden by trees, that went up behind the grotto. Almost at the end of the path, I heard the Holy Spirit saying to my heart that this was the spot where Ronald should sound the Shofar. Ronald was a bit ahead of me and I told him to come back to blow the Shofar. And so he did!  The sound of the shofar was like a sword, cutting the dark clouds of religion open, so that LIGHT could enter! It was so powerful.

Before the guards could track us down, we left the property.  Our assignment was not finished, we knew there was more to come, but for the first day in Lourdes it was done as the Holy Spirit directs. That night, as I prayed, the Lord showed me in the spirit the grotto. The wall was all covered with black spiders. Millions and millions of these crawling creatures everywhere I looked, it was horrible. God's authority in me took over and I commanded these spiritual creatures of darkness to COME OUT IN JESUS NAME ! Very loud I shouted a few times “COME OUT! COME OUT!" Prophetically I saw how these spiders fled. God's command made them flee out of the grotto. Pieces of the grotto’s wall covered with spiders, fell off, shaken by God's voice. Slowly the cave became cleaner......Victory!

The Pyrenees ~

The next morning we traveled  by local train and bus to Pic du Midi, a 2872 m. high mountain. At home, we did not plan to go to the mountains, but all three of us felt strongly that this was guidance of the LORD. Back home, God reminded me to put the HIS Justice Anointing Oil in my bag, and that morning I took it with me as we went up high to the top of the mountain, carried by a kind of gondola. The view was breathtaking! Because the sky was so clear, we could see many peaks of the Pyrenees mountain area. Arriving at the top of the Pic du Midi, we enjoyed the view, amazed by the beauty of God's creation.

The day before, the Lord already told me to build an altar for Him at the top of the mountain.

So we looked for the right spot and HIS Holy Spirit guided us. We discovered a path for hikers and we followed it a few meters downwards. And there we stood in prayer before GOD, in open space, way up high and surrounded by beautiful mountains. It was AWESOME ! We prayed for the whole mountain range; giving it back to LORD JESUS, asking for HIS Blood for forgiveness and cleansing from sins and restoration. We also build an altar of stones. I poured the HIS Justice Anointing Oil over a big piece of rock and the sight of it, touched our hearts. The anointing oil flowed down the rock, HIS Justice touched the Pyrenees and in the spirit realm, these mountains will never be the same, for sure!

Ronald blew the Shofar and it was a mighty sound, all to the glory of the MOST HIGH GOD! The Shofar was also anointed with HIS Justice Anointing Oil. Therefore, HIS HIS Justice will reign, in every place the Shofar will sound. Just imagine that, what a powerful testimony!

Later, Ronald told us that what he experienced was as if a giant eagle soared over us. I spoke the words of the LORD He placed in my mouth, It is written in my heavenly books what happened today. I am touched that you built an altar for Me. 'Tomorrow', when you all will be with Me, then you will fully understand what took place in the spirit realm as you built this altar. You shall read it in the books of heaven. The birds heard the prayers and the sound of the Shofar, the mountains heard it too. They rejoice in it. “

GOD also gave me a vision: I saw many angels coming from all different directions from the heavens and from the valleys. They blew on golden trumpets. The Holy Spirit said that the angels will continue to blow on the trumpets in the Pyrenees mountain range, from now on until the coming of  LORD JESUS!

We returned to Lourdes late afternoon. By the time we arrived, the 06-06-06 prayer day already started. After dinner we prepared spiritually for our final assignment. For the second time we entered the domain. I carried a small white flag I made at home (see photo).

On the white flag was written: ONLY JESUS IS KING OF HEAVEN!. I knew I had to place the flag in the grotto, right in the heart of the enemy, the place where it all started. GOD's prophecy about shooting HIS arrow right into the heart, was going to be fulfilled very soon.

We walked to the grotto, in silent prayer. Many visitors did the same. We queued up, moving very slowly to enter the deep grotto. I had no idea where to put my flag, I just trusted the Holy Spirit for HIS guidance and direction. And again, people were kissing and touching the grotto, some moved to tears. We cried in our hearts.....for the pain Jesus must feel, seeing all these captives, worshipping idols instead of HIM. As we shuffled along into the grotto, I noticed many flowers on the ground dedicated to “Mary”. It was placed by visitors. Without doubt, I knew I had to put my flag on top of these bunches of flowers. So I did. This proclamation that only JESUS is KING OF HEAVEN, was stabbed into the heart of the enemy and his deception!

In silence, we walked away from the crowd. Wondering whether the assignment of the Lord was finished or not, we stood at a distant watching the crowd. At that time, it was about 9 pm. People were preparing for the torchlight procession, which was a daily event. We slowly headed for the exit, we had seen enough idolatry and our assignment was finished. Meanwhile the procession had started. The line of people holding torches in their hands, looked like a giant snake. They sang Ave Maria. At the same time, we were standing on a small bridge. Suddenly I heard the command of the Lord within me. HE strongly directed, “Blow now the shofar!” It wasn’t a request, it was a command! I turned to Ronald and repeated firmly, “Blow now the shofar!” He looked at me and understood instantly. Without hesitation he boldly blew  the shofar, the sound and the meaning of it was, once again like an arrow, going once more right into the heart of the (enemy's) song. Three times sounded the horn; for the FATHER, the SON and the HOLY SPIRIT. There was no fear for man or doubt in our hearts, only victory and joy.

From the corner of my eyes, I saw a guard marching towards us. I could see that he was very angry. His arms and hands moved threatening, his face full of rage. In French, he told us to be silent. We must respect the procession or else........  Very calmly,  I replied to the guard that I respect GOD. He went on and on for some time. Psalm 56:11 came to my mind, "IN GOD HAVE I PUT MY TRUST! I WILL NOT BE AFRAID WHAT MAN CAN DO UNTO ME."

It was a spiritual confrontation, but no man can stop GOD's plans. GOD invited us to be HIS instruments, our part was to obey, fearless and boldly. We walked away from the bridge where we stood, followed by the still angry looks of the guard. Later, we prayed and thanked our LORD and MASTER, for His guidance, protection, wisdom and grace. Praises and worship we sent into heaven. We were grateful beyond words, what a privilege to be HIS servants.! 

During our journey, we were able to encourage people we met in Lourdes, with our prayers, testimonies and conservations. We thanked the Lord for the opportunities.  

I Timothy 1:12,  "AND I THANK CHRIST JESUS OUR LORD, WHO HATH ENABLED ME, FOR THAT HE COUNTED ME FAITHFUL, PUTTING ME INTO THE MINISTRY!"
