~ Ministry Proclamation ~

We believe ELOHIM placed a Forerunner Mantle on this ministry to prepare the way of the YESHUA, OUR MESSIAH through prophetic intercessory prayer, praise, worship, warfare and dance. Following our proclamation is a clarification of the word "Forerunner" from Kelly Varner.

Jesus our example; one who prepares the way

KEY SCRIPTURES:  Psalm19:5; Isaiah 40:3; Malachi 3:1; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 9:24; Heb. 6:19-20.

FOUNDATIONAL INFORMATION:  A forerunner is one who goes or runs before.  "Forerunner" is from the Greek "prodromos" (Strong's #4274) which means "a runner ahead, scout (figuratively, precursor)."  Also translated as "running forward, going in advance," it refers to those who were sent before as military scouts to take observations, or those who were sent before a king to see that the way was prepared.  "Prodromos" is taken from "protrecho" (Strong's #4390) which means "to run forward, outstrip, precede," and is translated as "outrun, run before" in the King James Version.  This latter word is a compound of "pro" ("fore; in front of, prior, superior to") and "trecho" ("to run or walk hastily").  In the Septuagint, the "firstripe" grapes of Numbers 13:20 are "the forerunners (of the grape)."

FULFILLED IN CHRIST:  Jesus Christ is the Runner and the Road!  The writer to the Hebrews declared Him to be "the forerunner" who entered into the Most Holy Place for us (Heb. 6:19-20).  Jesus Himself said, "I am the way ["road, route"], the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me" (John 14:6).  The psalmist revealed that Messiah would be like a Bridegroom coming out of His chamber, rejoicing as a strong man "to run a race" (Psalm 19:5).  John the Baptist was the forerunner who prepared the way for His divine Cousin (Isa. 40:3; Matt. 3:1-3; 11:10; John 1:23).  Malachi prophesied the coming of both John and Jesus, "Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before Me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to His temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, He shall come, saith the Lord of hosts" (Malachi 3:1).

APPLIED TO THE CHRISTIAN:  A people will follow Jesus from the Outer Court (where He is Savior), through the Holy Place (where He is Baptizer), into the Most Holy Place (where He is Lord, King, Overcomer, and Head of the Church) (Exodus 25:40).  Let us run the way of HIS commandments (Psalm 119:32), hastening from the land of sin (Exodus 12:11, 33).  The army of God run like horsemen (Joel 2:4-9) through the earth with the good news of HIS resurrection (Matt. 28:8).  Paul admonished, "So run, that ye may obtain" (1 Corinthians 9:24; compare Heb. 12:1).  Those who praise the LORD like David can say, "For by Thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall" (Psalm 18:29).  The Shulamite exclaimed, "Draw me, and we will run after thee" (Song 1:4).
