Journal of Joy
Lolo,
Montana - June 2004
Jennifer Lynn Joy
6.7.04
~ Shawn and I departed from the Portland Metro area around 1:30pm. On the way
to Spokane we drove through rain, hail, wind and dust storms, obviously in the midst of a powerful storm for this time of year. (Psalm
148)
Signs
along the way: Forward air, new road, keystone 30, capstone, and
eagle.
We
met Connie Thew, Intercessor for HGRM in Spokane for dinner, then
stopped by her home to see her "banner room" as Connie is a
maker of beautiful banners for the GLORY of the LORD! Simply a divinely
delightful time to reconnect and share in the joys of the LORD!
6.8.04
~ Signs along the way: IT IS TIME FOR A WAKE UP
CALL ! (2x) That was from the LORD! We stayed with my brother and
his family in Spokane before heading to Montana. The afternoon held a
wonderful tour of the Spokane Airport, as my brother works for a company
that contracts the electrical lighting (runway lights) for the airport.
We entered through the security gates and I learned very quickly about
"concrete aprons" and the "double yellow death line - if
you cross you are banned from the airport for life." I loved
watching the airplanes and helicopters land and take off .....up close!
6.9.04
~ We departed from Spokane about noon, headed to Kellogg, Idaho, after
a little scenic cruise, realized we needed to be in Wallace just a few
miles up the road for Shawn to meet with friends at Firehouse Coffee
Shop. We drove through thunder, lightning, rain and hail storm north of
Missoula before arriving at Mitchell’s around 6 pm for the first HGR
Branch One, Lolo family picnic. A wonderful evening of a
home-style family barbeque with family style worship to close the evening.
6.10.04
~ Deborah, Dorothy, Shawn and I met Jennifer at the Mustard Seed for
lunch in Missoula then we returned to Lolo to prepare for HIS Glory
Reigns. A surprise birthday party is planned for HGR's first birthday,
two ordinations, teaching, in addition to giving away flags and Glory
Rings. One could say the platter is very full. When we arrived the
church was hosting an open casket viewing in the sanctuary where the
microphone stand and music stand were located. So Shawn and Deborah had
the joy of interrupting the viewing and getting the needed equipment.
Mercy JESUS. Gratefully the viewing was over by the time we began
worship.
My
prayer for every HIS Glory Reigns Gathering is that GOD’s families would come together and
worship in spirit, truth and freedom. The evening was flipped over in
schedule with the teaching portion first,
then Brandon Shannon received a Glory Ring followed by Larry and
Nancy Cron receiving the Missoula, Montana Glory Ring and the Japan
Glory Ring. We then gave flags to everyone for worshipping at home and
taking a stand for JESUS in their neighborhood. The Holy Spirit has
anointed Shawn with reconciliation and restoration worship that brings
families together and calls prodigals home releasing unity, peace, grace,
favor and harmony. Glory to GOD! This is the second time, my son Shawn
has been positioned to travel with me in ministry to Montana. Following the hour of worship was the
ordination of Dorothy Robinson and Grace Scharff. It was a huge blessing
to have their husbands participate in the ordination. The evening came
to a close with a First Birthday Party for HGR Branch One, Lolo. The
leadership team including Dorothy, Rebecca, Grace and Deborah opened
gifts, blew out candles and we all enjoyed Birthday Cake! Celebrate!
6.11.04
~ Awakened with a fever and intense physical pain, I knew the day
would have a new agenda. Deborah facilitated the HGR leadership
meeting in the morning and I became very well acquainted with the family
room couch. In the late afternoon Shawn and Deborah went to set up the
workshop in Missoula with Nancy Cron.
6.12.04
~ For the first time in the history of this ministry, since I held
the first workshop in 1997, I was unable to hold a workshop. The fever
is still raging and I am the color of wet sheetrock. Deborah Shannon
takes my detailed notes and steps into my shoes for a day. Dorothy
Robinson facilitates the product and guest registration table. Ten women
from four different cities in Montana participated (Lolo, Missoula, Helena
and Columbia Falls) in the workshop. All but one of the Glory Rings made at the workshop
was
brought to me to take home to record the prophetic words.
6.13.04
~ The third day on the couch with a fever….mercy JESUS.
6.14.04
~ Gratefully, Shawn is driving or I would be in Montana for another
week. The trip home is barely a memory….grateful for my space and
place. It is challenging enough to travel and stay with others…..being
ill only made it more difficult. The illness was warfare
related, to some known as a spirit of infirmity. The fever finally broke the next day
and a week or so later my strength partially returned and a few weeks
later I was diagnosed with complete adrenal failure, chronic fatigue and
fibromyalgia. GOD sustained me much more that I could even comprehend.
Your
righteous, faithful, effective prayers….always needed!
