Journal of Joy Fort Collins, Colorado - First Ever Children's Workshop - February 2005 02.13.05 ~ This evening held the first ever Children's Beginning Prophetic Glory Ring Workshop at Iasis Christ Fellowship, Fort Collins, Colorado. Gratitude is extended to Lynn Hitchings and Robin Main for hosting this exciting new facet of HGRM. Many have prayed over the years for this to be released and so our FATHER has answered your prayers. Glory to HIM alone! As the children were gathering my memories filled with heart warming snapshots of teaching Sunday School, teaching at Garden Way (a private Christian School), working at the Family Counseling Center, camp counseling, coaching sports and caring for many children through the years...so many little faces of delight. Then focusing on a single memory in the pages of time when my first born was cradled in my arms. As I was pleading with the LORD for wisdom, strength and courage to be a mother as it all seemed so overwhelming to me. At the time I wondered what kind of mother does it take to raise a child to be like the Apostle Paul, Moses, the President of the United States, someone like Martin Luther King, or even with the attributes of JESUS? Over the years I learned that integrity, truth and perseverance are taught by modeling and discipline is used to teach the management of self. As the children sat crossed legged on the floor in a circle around me, the Holy Spirit reminded me that each child is a gift from heaven, priceless treasure from the throne, to be cherished, loved, valued and held in high esteem. And so we began....
As in all new adventures we learned some things along the way which will help to design future Children's Workshops, rejoicing in the LORD's favor, blessing, grace and mercy over all. The workshop was a very condensed version of the Beginning Prophetic Glory Ring Workshop. In the beginning I gave a very brief teaching about Worship Instruments that was followed by a time of prayer.
To begin their rings, each child chose the number of ribbons corresponding to their age, with purpose to hear the Holy Spirit in their choices. The children's diligence, respectful attitude, cooperative spirit, willingness to help each other and sincerity blessed me greatly. The atmosphere was filled with awe, anticipation, gratitude, joy and delight.
When their rings were completed, the Holy Spirit released prophetic words through me to the children with their mother's permission and acceptance. The Presence of GOD came as HE usually does in power, healing, restoration, reconciliation, hope, encouragement, peace and love. Trusting the LORD's blessing and favor upon Iasis Christ Fellowship for opening this door of ministry to our FATHER's little ones.
At the close of the workshop a mother brought in her little one, Michael Gabriel, a angel of the LORD to be sure! With a grateful heart for the faithful intercessors of HGRM whose prayers continue to be the wind beneath my wings and the shield of faith surrounding me.
