PRAYER FOR THE GREAT STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA

OH BLESSED LORD GOD, ADONAI, THE SOVEREIGN KING OF THE UNIVERSE, FATHER GOD, in the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, we pray for YOUR Sovereign Power, Rule and Reign for the State of South Carolina. We ask that you release YOUR Mercy, Love, Integrity, Tenderness, Holiness, Purity, Faith, Compassion, Wisdom, Justice, Goodness, Kindness, Truth, Favor, Anointing, Righteousness and Grace to the leadership and people of South Carolina. ABBA FATHER, we pray for a heart of equality, repentance, peace, kindness, gratefulness, forgiveness, and reconciliation among the people of South Carolina. We pray that every portal in the heavens and earth would be sealed by the blood of YESHUA, OUR REDEEMER according to YOUR times, plans and purposes. We pray that YOU would release more angels to guard and protect all that belongs to YOU in heaven and earth. FATHER, in the name of YESHUA, OUR MESSIAH we ask that the Commanded Blessing of the LORD to be in the land and people of South Carolina and that the resurrection power of YESHUA, THE PRINCE OF PEACE be perpetually released throughout the state bringing forth YOUR GLORY! YOUR KINGDOM! YOUR LIGHT! YOUR LOVE! and EVERLASTING LIFE! FATHER, we ask that, YOUR KINGDOM come and YOUR Will be done in South Carolina and that YOUR song of JOY and VICTORY be released over those called by YOUR name bringing them encouragement and hope (Zephaniah 3:17). We pray that every place of worship is a place that worships ELOHIM in spirit and in truth! We pray Hebrews 4:12 and the release of the fullness of YOUR Holy Spirit of Truth over the leadership of South Carolina and the people therein. We release a spirit of reverence and fear of the MOST HIGH GOD throughout the State of South Carolina. LORD GOD, we repent for the sins of the generations of South Carolina and pray for the anointing, atonement, and resurrection power of YESHUA, THE KING OF KINGS over the State of South Carolina. Amen! We pray for the LION OF JUDAH to roar over South Carolina and for the sound of the Shofar to be heard across the land! Amen!

STATE OF SOUTH CAROLINA HISTORICAL INFORMATION AND SYMBOLS

South Carolina

FLAG: Asked by the Revolutionary Council of Safety in the fall of 1775 to design a flag for the use of South Carolina troops, Col. William Moultrie chose a blue which matched the color of their uniforms and a crescent which reproduced the silver emblem worn on the front of their caps. The palmetto tree was added later to represent Moultrie's heroic defense of the palmetto-log fort on Sullivan's Island against the attack of the British fleet on June 28, 1776. South Carolina needed a national flag after it seceded from the Union on December 20, 1860. The General Assembly considered a wide range of designs, but on January 28, 1861, added the palmetto to Moultrie's original design, thereby officially creating the flag, as we know it today. By statute the flag shall be displayed "upon the inside of every public school building in this State so that all school children shall be instructed in proper respect for the flag," and daily except in rainy weather, from a staff upon the State House and from a staff upon each County Courthouse.
  • SEAL: On April 2, 1776, President John Rutledge of the Provincial Congress of South Carolina and Privy Council were authorized by Resolution of the General Assembly "to design and cause to be made a Great Seal of South Carolina." The seal was first used on May 22, 1777.

  • SWORD: The Sword of the Senate ~ The present Sword of the Senate was presented to the Senate February 20, 1951 as a personal gift to South Carolina by Lord Halifax, former British Ambassador to the United States.
