PRAYER FOR THE GREAT STATE OF MISSOURI
OH BLESSED
LORD GOD, ADONAI, THE SOVEREIGN KING OF THE UNIVERSE,
FATHER GOD, in the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, we pray for the State of
Missouri asking for the fullness of the GLORY of the LORD to permeate the land
and the hearts of the people. We seek YOUR Face on this day to pray for the leaders
and people of Missouri, asking for YOUR Divine Mercy, Wisdom, Tenderness,
Compassion, Knowledge, Purity, Anointing, Favor,
Truth, Integrity, Righteousness, Peace, Joy, Love, Holiness and Grace to be
imparted to them. FATHER GOD, we call forth a heart of repentance, kindness,
forgiveness, gratefulness and
reconciliation among the people of Missouri and FATHER, in the name of YESHUA,
OUR RISEN KING,
we ask that the Commanded Blessing of the LORD GOD to be released over the land and people
of Missouri. ABBA FATHER, we ask that, YOUR Kingdom come and YOUR Will be done in
the hearts of the people of Missouri.
We pray that
every portal in the heavens and earth would be sealed by the blood and the
anointing of YESHUA, OUR MESSIAH
according to YOUR times, plans and purposes. We pray that YOU would release
more angels to guard and protect all that belongs to YOU in heaven and
earth. We pray that the Mighty River of GOD's
GLORY
would flow through Missouri bringing YOUR Perfect Healing, Tender Love, Gentle
Joy, Cleansing Purity, Holy Redemption and Profound Peace to the
people of Missouri! We pray for the fullness of
YOUR HOLY SPIRIT to be released to the spiritual leaders of Missouri
imparting humility, truth, unity, freedom, harmony, wisdom and love. We thank YOU for YOUR goodness,
mercy and kindness over Missouri. We pray that the waters of Missouri will
stay within YOUR parameters and boundaries set for them. We pray for
supernatural provision and providence for those that dwell within the
borders of Missouri according to YOUR riches in GLORY. We ask for YOUR
shield of protection over the land and the borders of Missouri. We release a spirit of
reverence and fear of the MOST HIGH GOD throughout the State of
Missouri! FATHER GOD, we pray for the anointing, atonement and
resurrection power of YESHUA, OUR SAVIOR over Missouri. Amen!
We pray for the LION OF JUDAH to
roar over Missouri and for the sound of the Shofar to be heard across the
land! Amen!

STATE OF MISSOURI HISTORICAL INFORMATION AND SYMBOLS
|
 |
FLAG: Nearly 100 years after achieving statehood, Missouri adopted an
official flag on March 22, 1913. The late Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Watkins Oliver,
wife of former State Senator R. B. Oliver, designed the flag. The flag consists
of three horizontal stripes of red, white and blue. These represent valor,
purity, vigilance and justice. In the center white stripe is the Missouri
coat-of-arms, circled by a blue band containing 24 stars, denoting that
Missouri was the 24th state.

-
STATEHOOD: August 10, 1821, The 24th State of the Union.
-
NICK NAME: The Show Me State
-
ORIGIN OF NAME: Named after the Missouri Indian tribe. Missouri means town of
the large canoes. The Missouri Territory and later the state took the name of
the Missouri River. The river was named for the Missouri Indians who lived
along the banks. The name, Missouri, means: canoe haven.
-
SEAL: The Great Seal was designed by Judge Robert William Wells and
adopted by the Missouri General Assembly on January 11, 1822. The center of
the state seal is composed of two parts. On the right is the United States
coat-of-arms containing the bald eagle. In its claws are arrows and olive
branches, signifying that the power of war and peace lies with the U.S.
federal government. On the left side of the shield, the state side, are a
grizzly bear and a silver crescent moon. The crescent symbolizes Missouri at
the time of the state seal's creation, a state of small population and wealth
which would increase like the new or crescent moon; it also symbolizes the:
second son, meaning Missouri was the second state formed out of the Louisiana
Territory. This shield is encircled by a belt inscribed with the motto: United
we stand, divided we fall, which indicates Missouri's advantage as a member of
the United States. The two grizzlies on either side of the shield symbolize
the state's strength and its citizens' bravery. The bear stands atop a scroll
bearing the state motto: Let the welfare of the people be the supreme law.
Below this scroll are the Roman numerals for 1820; the year Missouri began its
functions as a state. The helmet above the shield represents state
sovereignty, and the large star atop the helmet surrounded by 23 smaller stars
signified Missouri's status as the 24th state. The cloud around the large star
indicates the problems Missouri had in becoming a state. A scroll bearing the
words encloses the whole state seal: The Great Seal of the State of Missouri.
-
MOTTO: The welfare of the people shall be the supreme law.
