PRAYER FOR THE GREAT STATE OF FLORIDA

OH BLESSED LORD GOD, ADONAI, THE SOVEREIGN KING OF THE UNIVERSE, FATHER GOD, in the name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, we pray for YOUR Sovereign Power, Rule and Reign for the State of Florida. We ask that you release YOUR Divine Tenderness, Forgiveness, Compassion, Knowledge,  Mercy, Wisdom, Truth, Favor, Justice, Discernment, Goodness, Holiness, Anointing, Purity, Integrity, Righteousness and Grace to the leadership and people of Florida. FATHER GOD, we call forth a heart of equality, kindness, repentance, forgiveness, and reconciliation among the people of Florida. ABBA FATHER, in the name of YESHUA, OUR RISEN KING! we ask that the Commanded Blessing of the LORD GOD to be released in the land and people of Florida and that the resurrection power of JESUS CHRIST, OUR MESSIAH be perpetually released throughout the state bringing forth YOUR GLORY! YOUR KINGDOM! YOUR LIGHT! YOUR LOVE! and EVERLASTING LIFE! FATHER, we ask that, YOUR Kingdom come and YOUR Will be done in Florida and that YOU graciously open the windows of heaven over Florida. We ask for angelic hosts to protect the gates of Florida and that those called by YOUR Name, Oh, LORD would be those that walk in complete obedience and trust of YOU! We proclaim that every place of worship will be a place that worships the One True GOD in spirit, freedom and truth. We pray for YOUR shield of protection over Florida from hurricanes, oceanic storms and tsunami winds. We pray that every portal in the heavens and earth would be sealed by the blood and anointing of YESHUA, THE PRINCE OF PEACE according to YOUR times, plans and purposes. We pray that YOU would supernaturally release more angels to guard and protect all that belongs to YOU in heaven and earth. Thank you for YOUR goodness, gentleness, revival, renewal, restoration and kindness extended to Florida. We pray for YOUR justice and integrity to be released to courts of Florida for YOUR GLORY! We release a spirit of reverence and fear of the MOST HIGH GOD throughout the State of Florida. LORD GOD, we pray for the anointing, atonement and resurrection power of JESUS CHRIST over the State of Florida. Amen! We pray for the LION OF JUDAH to roar over Florida and for the sound of the Shofar to be heard across the land! Amen!

STATE OF FLORIDA HISTORICAL INFORMATION AND SYMBOLS

FLAG: Adopted on November 6, 1900. The state seal, which was modified in 1966 and again in 1985, features a common Florida landscape. Also, it pictures a Native American woman who represents the original inhabitants of Florida. The red satire represents most recognized characteristic of the Confederate battle flag.

• SEAL: The elements and basic design instructions for Florida's State Seal were established by the Legislature in 1868. Early that year, Florida's newly adopted State Constitution had directed that: The Legislature shall, at the first session, adopt a seal for the state, and such seal shall be the size of an American silver dollar, but said seal shall not again be changed after its adoption by the Legislature. So the Legislature, acting quickly upon the mandate, passed and sent to Governor Harrison Reed a Joint Resolution on August 6, 1868 specifying that a Seal of the size of the American silver dollar, having in the center thereof a view of the sun's rays over a high land in the distance, a cocoa tree, a steamboat on water, and an Indian female scattering flowers in the foreground, encircled by the words: Great Seal of the State of Florida: In God We Trust, be and the same is hereby adopted as the Great Seal of the State of Florida. Florida's present Constitution continues to require the seal to be prescribed by law. In 1970, more than 100 years after the first specifications were drawn, the Florida Legislature made one change in the official description changing cocoa tree in the former language to Sabal palmetto palm.

• ORIGIN OF NAME: Named for the day on which it was discovered, April 2, 1513 by Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon, who called it La Florida in honor of Pascua Florida, the Spanish Feast of the Flower at Easter-time.
